Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo DOC 2021 / 75CL - Uma Casanatura
Young and innovative, Uma Casanatura is a family-owned, organic winery located close to Teramo, in the enchanted hills between the Gran Sasso National Park and the Adriatic Sea. Cerasuolo, whose name derives from the Italian “Cerasa” (red cherry), is made from the red Montepulciano grape with a very short maceration. In contrast with lighter style of rosé, the high level of anthocyanin in the skin of Montepulciano gives it a wonderful cherry colour, with cherry and red berry flavours that combined with balanced tannins create an astonishing freshness. For those who want a change from Provence-style rosé, Cerasuolo is a great and versatile companion for food: from lobster bisque to salmon (in any form) to pizza to Serrano ham and dim sum or curry-based dishes.
